Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi made a statement to the country's media regarding the latest developments in the region. Gharibabadi, who said they were conducting negotiations with the Sultanate of Oman regarding the Strait of Hormuz, stated, “If Oman does not accept Iran's proposal regarding the Strait of Hormuz, the strait will remain closed. We are ready for the resumption of war. Our proposal is that one route in the strait be entirely under Iran's control, and a part of the other route also be under Iran's control. Iran will not accept any other formula. The final decision will be evaluated by the decision-makers in the country. We have not requested negotiations with the US in the last 15 days. The Americans conveyed a message through Oman that they would not conduct a military operation against us.”
