Azerbaijan's Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev met with Kazakhstan's Minister of Transport Nurlan Sauranbayev, Chief Executive Officer of JSC Samruk-Kazyna Nurlan Zhakupov, and Chairman of the Management Board of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy Yelzhas Otynshiyev.
The sides discussed expanding cooperation on the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor), including investment opportunities in ferry vessels, increasing road freight transportation, and the project to lay an underwater fiber-optic cable along the Caspian Sea bed.
They also exchanged views on the draft agreement on the development of the Middle Corridor and efforts to digitalize its operations.
