7 people died as a result of a helicopter crash in Argentina's San Juan province.
San Juan Governor Marcelo Orrego announced on his social media account that a 'Bell 412' type helicopter crashed in the Ischigualasto State Park area of San Juan for reasons yet to be determined. Orrego stated, “We have received the news of the helicopter crash in our state, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of 7 lives, with deep sorrow. I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to the families of all the victims in this moment of great pain. We stand by each of those who have lost their loved ones.”
It was reported that among the deceased were San Juan Civil Defense Director Carlos Heredia, Deputy State Security Director German Videla, and police chiefs Ruben Castro and Jorge Carbajal, who served in the Fire Department Directorate.
