In his statement, Arakçi also argued that France's support for Israel's actions in Gaza and aggression towards Iran undermines the moral superiority they believe they possess.

In a joint statement announced yesterday by French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot, signed by the European Union (EU) and 26 countries, the execution of protesters and the application of the death penalty in Iran were condemned. The statement emphasized that the use of the death penalty to silence opposition and intimidate society cannot be justified, and called on Iran to immediately halt executions and release those arbitrarily detained.
