The death toll from the 7.4 magnitude earthquake in Colombia has reportedly risen to 265.
Colombian President Abelardo de la Espriella stated in a press release regarding the disaster that occurred on Monday, that the death toll from the earthquake has risen to 265, with 3,494 people injured and 496 still missing.
De la Espriella noted that more than 53,000 people were affected by the earthquake and emphasized that the government's priority is the search for missing persons. He also announced that an 'economic emergency' will be declared to expedite aid to those affected by the disaster.
