The death toll in the ongoing Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo has risen to 2,680, with the number of confirmed cases reaching 5,584.
The Ministry of Health of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) announced that the Ebola outbreak has spread to 57 regions in 6 provinces. The statement noted that since the beginning of the outbreak, 5,584 cases have been confirmed, 2,680 people have died from the disease, and 1,215 people have recovered.
