Death toll in Venezuela earthquakes rises to 6,509
The death toll from the two major earthquakes in Venezuela on June 24 has risen to 6,509.

 

Venezuela National Assembly President Jorge Rodriguez announced on his social media account that the death toll from the two major earthquakes on June 24 has increased by 71, reaching 6,509, while the number of injured stands at 16,740. Jose Alejandro Teran, the Governor of La Guaira, the state most affected by the loss of life and property, announced that 1,579 people are still missing in the region.
