Zelensky: We must neutralize Russia's missiles to break its will to fight
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that critical infrastructure and residential areas were targeted in Russia's nighttime airstrikes, saying, “To break Russia's will to continue the war, we must neutralize the missiles Moscow relies on.”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on his social media account that the Russian army conducted a combined attack with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and ballistic missiles starting from the night hours. Zelensky stated that critical infrastructure facilities in the Poltava, Sumy, and Kherson regions, residential buildings in Kharkiv, and a multi-story building in Kramatorsk were targeted in the attacks, and reported that damage and injuries occurred in the Zaporizhzhia, Kryvyi Rih, Odesa, and Kyiv regions as well.
Highlighting that Russia continues to invest in missile production and expanding the war, Zelensky emphasized the need for more measures against this. Zelensky said, “This week, our European allies made significant decisions to strengthen Ukraine's air defense. It is crucial that these steps are supported with additional ballistic missile defense packages, especially the 'Priority Needs List of Ukraine' (PURL). Everything that strengthens the protection of our skies saves Ukrainian lives every day. To break Russia's will to continue the war, we must neutralize the missiles Moscow relies on to sustain the war. I am grateful to everyone who understands this and supports us.”
