Iran reported that it shot down a US 'MQ-9 Reaper' drone over the Strait of Hormuz.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that a long-range US 'MQ-9 Reaper' unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was hit by missiles from the modern air defense systems of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps over the Strait of Hormuz. It was stated that the UAV belonging to the US military fell into the Persian Gulf after being hit.

In another statement made by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy, it was stated, "A super tanker trying to pass through an illegal route from the south of the Strait of Hormuz caught fire after hitting two naval mines and came to a complete stop."
The statement also warned that the fate of ships 'violating security regulations in the Strait of Hormuz' would be similar.
