In an accident caused by the overturning of a passenger bus in Egypt's South Sinai province, 16 people lost their lives and 28 were injured.
In a statement by the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population, it was reported that the accident occurred in the morning hours on the Dahab-Nuweiba highway in the South Sinai province. It was stated that 16 people died at the scene and 28 people were injured as a result of the overturning of a passenger bus in motion.
Upon the notification, 20 ambulances were dispatched to the area, and ministry officials stated that the injured, who received initial interventions, were taken to hospitals and their health conditions are being closely monitored.
It was noted that an investigation into the accident has been initiated.
