Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ismail Bekayi reacted to the US Central Command's statement that 'the US military does not target civilians.'
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ismail Bekayi responded on his social media account to the statement by US Central Command (CENTCOM) Spokesperson Tim Hawkins, who claimed that 'the US military does not target civilians,' following the deaths of civilians at a wedding ceremony in recent US attacks. Bekayi recalled the US attacks on wedding ceremonies in Kakarak, Afghanistan in 2002, Mukaradeeb, Iraq in 2004, and Deh Bala and Wech Baghtu, Afghanistan in 2008. He also mentioned that the award-winning American series Homeland depicted an attack by US forces on a wedding in Pakistan. Bekayi stated, "The reality is so horrifying that even American propaganda never dared to make the claim Hawkins did today. It's not a fictional story. Civilians are real. Victims are real."
