France's Minister of Ecological Transition, Monique Barbut, reported that the country experienced its hottest summer since weather records began in 1900.

France's Minister of Ecological Transition, Monique Barbut, made a statement in the city of Saint-Mande regarding the extreme heat and forest fires that were effective during the summer months. Barbut stated that they experienced the hottest summer on record since weather records began in France in 1900, noting that this year's summer season will go down in history.

Barbut mentioned that education was suspended in some schools due to the heat and also touched upon the forest fires. She reported that some houses were destroyed and many people lost their lives due to the heat, saying, “France needs solutions in every aspect of life and the economy to adapt to climate change. We won't be able to renovate all schools by next summer, but we will install shutters and fans.”
