Saudi Arabia and Germany have called for the Strait of Hormuz to return to normal to ensure the security of international maritime routes.
The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan met with his German counterpart Johann Wadephul in Berlin, the capital of Germany. During the meeting, the latest developments in the region were discussed, and the importance of safeguarding international maritime routes and ensuring freedom of navigation was emphasized. The meeting also highlighted the necessity of the Strait of Hormuz returning to normal for regional security, stability, and the continuation of international trade flow.
As part of the visit, the two ministers signed a 'Memorandum of Understanding on Establishing a Strategic Dialogue' at the foreign ministers' level to enhance bilateral relations, consultation, and coordination between Saudi Arabia and Germany.
