In a statement from the United States Central Command's (CENTCOM) social media account, it was argued that the claims about the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps forces hitting two US Navy warships stationed in the Middle East are completely unfounded. The statement noted that no US warships were hit and that all attack attempts by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps ended in failure.

The statement also reported that US forces destroyed 10 Iranian tankers in the past week. It was alleged that these maritime vehicles were part of a multi-billion dollar shadow network financing the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.
