Minister: TRIPP negotiations are progressing successfully

“The United States and Armenia are conducting the main negotiations on TRIPP, as part of the project lies within Armenian territory. Meanwhile, U.S. partners regularly keep Azerbaijan informed about the course of the talks. Since the project’s entry and exit points are located on the Azerbaijani border, it cannot be implemented without Azerbaijan’s direct involvement,” Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, told journalists.

Noting that implementing all the agreements would take some time, the FM emphasized: “We have been informed that the negotiations are progressing successfully. We believe the project should be implemented sooner, as it would be highly beneficial for Azerbaijan, Armenia, and other interested countries. Azerbaijan is continuing its work on the project. At the same time, in line with the instructions of the head of state, the necessary work has been initiated to restore railway lines in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. International partners interested in taking part in the project are also involved in the ongoing negotiations.”
