Azerbaijan is participating in the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) in Beijing.
CIFTIS is a major platform for China, driving innovation and promoting global trade in services.
Held under the theme "Global Services, Shared Prosperity," this year's fair features 1,300 companies from over 90 countries, including 473 Fortune Global 500 firms, alongside international organizations. Running through September 13, the event will host nearly 200 forums, conferences, and business sessions. More than 100 new products and services will be unveiled, focusing on information and communications technology, fintech, and digital healthcare. The main exhibition area features over 140 innovative displays across 12 service trade categories, highlighting artificial intelligence, large language models (LLMs), and AI agents.
At the unified national pavilion, established with support from the Ministry of Economy and organized jointly by the Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) and Azerbaijan's Trade House in China, 10 Azerbaijani companies across various service sectors are showcasing their capabilities.
The pavilion highlights investment opportunities and support mechanisms in Azerbaijan, favorable conditions created for investors in the Garabagh and East Zangezur economic regions, the Alat Free Economic Zone, and local industrial parks, as well as available incentives. The pavilion aims to promote Azerbaijan's services globally and foster new partnerships. This marks Azerbaijan's seventh consecutive year participating in the platform.
CIFTIS, launched in 2012, is organized primarily by China's Ministry of Commerce and the Beijing Municipal Government, with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) joining as a co-organizer this year.
The fair serves as an essential mechanism for deepening bilateral ties and expanding international trade in services. According to China's Ministry of Commerce, the country's service trade volume rose 8.3 percent in the first half of the year to 3.78 trillion yuan (approximately $563 billion).
