“A new project by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), aimed at restoring kahriz systems in East Zangezur and Garabagh, is expected to commence this year,” said Korean Ambassador to Azerbaijan Kang Kymgu in his remarks during a panel discussion titled “Partnerships for Sustainable Development and Effective Humanitarian Assistance,” held as part of a conference marking the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijan International Development Agency (AIDA).
He noted that the project, which will be implemented in collaboration with the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency, has a total budget of $5.5 million and is planned to be completed by 2030.
