And we celebrated one year anniversary of the initialing of the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan in August,” said Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, as he addressed representatives of the diplomatic corps at the Khankendi Cultural Center.
“We are learning to live under the peace and moving in that direction,” Hajiyev added.
“As President Ilham Aliyev mentioned, for Azerbaijan, the conflict is over. And we understood that to live under the realities of the peace is such a great feeling. And Azerbaijan will continue to exert additional efforts to establish lasting peace in our region and consolidate further the peace on the ground. And the peace also starts from the reconstruction and rebuilding efforts in the ground,” the presidential assistant emphasized.
