“In the first half of 2026, trade volume between China and Azerbaijan reached $2.22 billion, up 6.4% from the same period last year,” Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Lu Mei told AZERTAC.
According to her, China remained Azerbaijan’s largest source of imports.
The Chinese ambassador noted that practical cooperation between the two countries is also developing in the fields of high-tech manufacturing, artificial intelligence, information technology, and infrastructure. She added that following the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and China, both sides continue to actively implement the agreements reached at the highest level.
