The Lithuanian National Crisis Management Center (NKVC) reported that at 12:56 local time yesterday, a signal was received regarding an unidentified object in the country's airspace, and a yellow alert for a possible air threat was issued at 12:59 around the capital, Vilnius. According to a statement published in the Lithuanian press, NATO fighter jets stationed in the country were scrambled to check the object, which was initially assessed as a drone in radar records. Upon investigation, it was determined that the object detected by the radars was not a drone, but a flock of birds. It was announced that flights at Vilnius Airport, which were temporarily closed, have resumed.
