Azerbaijani PM meets with delegation of ADB Board of Directors

On September 14, Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov met with a delegation of the Board of Directors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

During the meeting, attended by Minister of Finance Sahil Babayev, the parties hailed the high level of the long-standing and mutually beneficial partnership between Azerbaijan and the ADB.

The parties emphasized the importance of joint projects in transport, energy, water supply, finance, education, healthcare, and other sectors, noting that significant opportunities exist to expand cooperation through public-private partnership mechanisms.

They also highlighted the Country Partnership Strategy for 2025–2029 as a crucial framework for the new phase of Azerbaijan-ADB cooperation and discussed aligning new projects in energy, transport, and water infrastructure with the country’s long-term development priorities.

The parties also exchanged views on prospects for further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Asian Development Bank.
