Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov made a statement to journalists in the capital Moscow regarding the agenda. Peskov stated that the belief that Ukraine can resist Russia's military pressure is mistaken, and said that developments on the front line clearly show that the Russian army is advancing towards its goals with determination.
Arguing that the dynamics on the front prove Russia's advance, Peskov used the expressions, “The situation on the ground is very clear for all professionals; Russian forces are advancing towards the set targets and will continue to advance, let there be no doubt about it.”
'WE WELCOME TRUMP'S CALL'
Peskov, evaluating US President Donald Trump's call to Volodymyr Zelensky to stop attacks regarding Ukraine targeting Russian oil refineries, expressed that they welcome all calls to stop attacks on civilian infrastructure. Peskov also emphasized that Russian President Vladimir Putin finds the intentions of the leaders of China and India to contribute to the peace process positive, saying, “Every country can use its influence to encourage Kiev to act more flexibly and to end the conflict.”
'DISRUPTION IN GLOBAL OIL MARKET IS CONCERNING'
Noting that the restrictions imposed by Russia on the export of petroleum products aim to satisfy the domestic market, Peskov stated, “The ban will continue until this goal is achieved. The withdrawal of Russian products and the escalating tension in the Persian Gulf are rapidly worsening world energy markets. This disruption in global markets is a legitimate concern for world economies.”
