Azerbaijani student achieves outstanding results at Oxford University

Azerbaijani student Shabnam Taghiyeva has successfully completed her master’s degree at Oxford University, one of the UK’s most prestigious higher education institutions, achieving exceptional academic results.

She earned a Master of Public Policy degree from the Blavatnik School of Government as part of the Government Programme. Shabnam is also the co-author of a research project on the Ethical Use of Artificial Intelligence in Special Education, developed jointly with the University of Sheffield’s Centre for Machine Intelligence. The work received Oxford University’s highest academic award.

Previously, she graduated with honors from two leading Azerbaijani universities: the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan with a bachelor’s degree in law, and Baku State University with a master’s degree in commercial law. She has nine years of professional experience as a lawyer across both the public and private sectors, including positions at the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Science and Education.

Shabnam Taghiyeva began her career in the private sector, working with several reputable organizations and gaining significant experience in legal and public policy matters. She later transitioned to the government sector as a senior associate in the Presidential Administration, contributing to policy development and implementation across multiple legal areas.
