The Turkish States History Museum from Metehan to Mehmetçik has been opened in the Turkish city of Ordu as part of the cultural project of the Metropolitan Municipality.

In the outdoor area of the Museum, busts of the founders of the 16 "historically existing" Turkish states and their respective flags are displayed to represent the historical continuity of the Turkish state.

Samir Abbasov, Director of the Azerbaijani Cultural Center in Türkiye, visited the Museum to meet with Architect Nihat Şen, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ordu Metropolitan Municipality and also the head of the museum.

During the meeting, the sides noted the importance of organizing captivating sections in the museum that shed light on the shared history of the Turkic world, creating engaging sections, exhibits, and sculptures based on historical periods, as well as the museum's important role in conveying this history to future generations.

As part of the meeting, it was agreed to create corners on medieval Azerbaijani states that played a crucial role in the history of statehood in the Turkic world, to erect busts of brilliant Azerbaijani thinkers who are the pinnacle of the country’s literature, as well as to create a special corner on Azerbaijan's glorious Garabagh Victory, which left a great mark in the history of the Turkic world.

The expansion of bilateral cultural cooperation, the implementation of joint projects, the organization of the Azerbaijani Art Week in the city of Ordu, and the creation of corners dedicated to Azerbaijan at the Museum of Turkic States were commended by the Ordu Metropolitan Municipality and the regional Culture and Tourism Department.

Samir Abbasov toured various sections of the museum and donated the newly published book about Azerbaijan’s glorious Garabagh Victory to the museum.
