Birol Akgün, Ambassador of Türkiye to Azerbaijan, visited the Baku State University (BSU).
BSU Rector Elchin Babayev hailed the high-level relations between the two brotherly countries in all areas. Noting that BSU maintains fruitful cooperation with a number of prestigious universities in Türkiye, the rector said that most of the foreign students studying at BSU are from Türkiye. Babayev informed the ambassador about the university's educational, scientific activities, and international relations. He emphasized the importance of increasing efforts to expand mutual and beneficial cooperation between BSU and Turkish universities.
Birol Akgun stressed the importance of projects implemented in the fields of science and education, as well as academic exchanges between universities, emphasizing the need to further expand relations and stating that the embassy would support them in this regard.
During the meeting, the discussions revolved around the prospects of relations in the field of education, student and teacher exchange, and joint scientific research between BSU and Turkish universities.
The ambassador then visited the Heydar Aliyev Museum and the "Turkish auditorium" at BSU.
