Starting from the 2026-2027 academic year, the BUCT-BEU Faculty of Engineering, which will operate at Baku Engineering University (BEU), is admitting students for the first time.
Jointly established by BEU and Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT), one of the leading higher education institutions of the People's Republic of China, the faculty will offer applicants engineering education in line with international standards and the opportunity to participate in a dual-degree program.
The faculty will provide education in the specialties of Computer Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, and Mechanical Engineering. The curricula have been developed in accordance with international engineering education standards and will enable students to gain modern scientific knowledge, professional competencies, as well as the skills necessary to operate in the international academic environment.
Applicants who took part in the 2026 bachelor's-level admission examinations may be admitted to this program by selecting the specialties to be taught at the BUCT-BEU Faculty of Engineering during the specialty selection (coding) stage.
The dual-degree program will be carried out on the basis of a 3+1 model. In accordance with this model, students will complete the first three years of their studies at BEU and the final year at BUCT. Graduates who successfully fulfill the program's requirements will be awarded diplomas from both BEU and BUCT.
The educational process will be organized with the participation of highly qualified faculty members from both universities. This cooperation will give students the opportunity to benefit from international experience, become familiar with modern teaching methods, and adopt various academic approaches.
Within the faculty, support will be provided for students' engagement in international research projects, participation in academic mobility programs, as well as the development of their knowledge and skills in innovation and advanced technologies. In addition, the expansion of inter-university cooperation in research, innovation, and technology transfer is envisaged.
