In a statement made by Johannesburg Emergency Management Services Spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi, it was stated that 63 people died and 43 people were injured in a fire in a multi-storey building. While no explanation has yet been made about the cause of the fire, it was stated that search and rescue operations are continuing.
