President of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Rovshan Najaf met with Zhang Xinming, President and Executive Director of Sinopec Engineering Group Co., Ltd. of China.
During the meeting, the parties emphasized that relations between Azerbaijan and China are developing successfully in various areas, including the energy sector. They praised the ongoing cooperation between SOCAR and Chinese companies.
The sides exchanged views on oil and gas refining, petrochemicals, digitalization, the energy transition, the application of modern refining technologies, and other issues of mutual interest.
The meeting concluded with the signing of a framework agreement on cooperation.
