Baku hosts second meeting of Cooperation Committee on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Azerbaijan and UAE

The second meeting of the Cooperation Committee on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was held in Baku on April 28.

The meeting was co-chaired by Yalchin Rafiyev, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Saeed Bin Mubarak Al Hajeri, Minister of State at the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The one-on-one meeting between Yalchin Rafiyev and Saeed Bin Mubarak Al Hajeri took place, followed by the expanded format discussions with the participation of ambassadors of both countries and representatives of relevant state agencies. Based on reports presented by subcommittees, discussions focused on the development of cooperation across various sectors.

During the meeting, the sides hailed the implementation of the agreed roadmap and work plans, emphasizing the importance of further enhancing results-oriented cooperation. They also exchanged views on priority areas for the upcoming period, concrete initiatives, and joint projects.

Additionally, the parties agreed to introduce new initiatives, improve existing mechanisms, and enhance the institutional framework of cooperation.

The meeting was attended by representatives of Azerbaijan’s Ministries of Economy, Energy, Justice, Defense, Internal Affairs, Digital Development and Transport, Science and Education, Culture and Agriculture, as well as the State Tourism Agency, the Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, SOCAR, Azerbaijan Investment Holding and AZCON Holding.
