Cho Hyun, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, expressed gratitude for Azerbaijan’s support and assistance in evacuating South Korean nationals from the Middle East last year amid escalating regional tensions, AZERTAC reported, citing Yonhap News Agency.
Foreign Minister Cho Hyun held a phone call with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov on Wednesday, during which the sides discussed regional developments and ways to further enhance bilateral cooperation.
Last June, dozens of South Korean citizens were evacuated through Azerbaijan amid Israeli-Iranian military clashes.
