“The Armenia–Azerbaijan peace process is advancing gradually, shaping a new geopolitical reality in the South Caucasus,” said Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, at a meeting with members of the accredited diplomatic corps held at Garabagh University.
Hikmet Hajiyev noted that negotiations between the sides continue on issues including economic and trade relations, border delimitation and demarcation, and the opening of transport and communication corridors.
The Presidential Assistant emphasized that practical steps are already visible, including the expansion of transit opportunities and the development of new mechanisms for the transportation of certain goods, which form part of this process.
He stressed that the peace process is a complex and demanding stage, while the political will of the parties provides a key foundation for long-term regional stability.
