Azerbaijan exports record volume of agricultural products to global market last year

“Food and agricultural products are exported from Azerbaijan to 73 countries around the world. In 2025, a record volume of agricultural products was exported from Azerbaijan to the global market, totaling approximately 914,000 tons of crop products,” said Goshgar Tahmazli, Chairman of the Food Safety Agency, during his speech at the opening ceremony of Caspian Agro Week held at the Baku Expo Center.

According to him, when considering the contribution of food safety to the agricultural and food industry sectors, the importance of establishing international standards must be emphasized.

“The quality indicators of our exported products must meet the requirements of markets around the world. For this purpose, one of the most critical issues in the country at present is ensuring animal health. Azerbaijan’s attainment of a disease-free status for avian influenza (bird flu) and Peste des Petits Ruminants (PPR) has enabled the export of related products to several countries worldwide. The export of poultry products, including both breeding and table eggs, to various countries has already been carried out,” he noted.
