“Azerbaijan is taking critical steps towards digital transformation and the application of Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies. The use of artificial intelligence and digital trade solutions across public services is expanding,” said Fariz Jafarov, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4SIM) under the Ministry of Economy, during the presentation of the strategic outcomes of the “Tradetech” project for Azerbaijan, implemented jointly with the World Economic Forum.
Fariz Jafarov noted that Azerbaijan is accelerating its strategic efforts to fully benefit from the opportunities created by the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
“One of the center’s most successful projects, the Fourth Industrial Revolution Academy, aims to bring the digital skills of Azerbaijani citizens in line with international standards. This initiative, which began as a pilot project involving only 1,000 participants in 2023, has now grown into a major platform covering 70,000 people,” the executive director emphasized.
Fariz Jafarov also mentioned that Azerbaijan’s efforts in this regard are highly appreciated internationally. The Azerbaijani center ranks among the top three of the 27 global centers included in the World Economic Forum network, he concluded.
