U.S. President Donald Trump made statements regarding the Iran agenda at an event where he met with members of Congress in the White House garden. Trump stated that negotiations with Iran are ongoing and noted that they will soon see whether they can reach an agreement. Trump said, “We will end this war very soon. They are tired of this situation. I think we will finish this job very quickly. I hope we handle this nicely.”
Claiming that they have largely 'eliminated' Iran's military and political leadership, Trump said, “We destroyed their navy, their air force is gone, their anti-aircraft systems are gone, I don't want to say their leaders are gone because that's not very nice but it's a fact. We will not allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons under any circumstances. We cannot tolerate this and we will not tolerate it.”
