Syrian President Ahmed Shara shared a photo on his social media account of two perfumes sent to him by U.S. President Donald Trump, along with a note on White House letterhead. In his post, Shara tagged Trump and said, “Some meetings leave a mark; ours apparently left a scent. Thank you for your generosity and for refreshing this precious gift, Mr. President. I hope the spirit of that meeting continues to shape a stronger relationship between Syria and the U.S.”
The special note with the White House logo in the photo shared by Shara showed that Trump wrote, “Ahmed, everyone is talking about the photo we took when I gave you this wonderful perfume. I'm just sending a new one in case it's finished,” and personally signed the note.
