Guo expressed that Washington should make concrete efforts to maintain the stable development trend of China-US relations. Calling on the US to fulfill the consensus reached between the two countries' leaders, Guo said, "The US should implement its previous commitments and maintain peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait."
