The discussions held at the 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13) are notable for bringing together experts working to address current challenges in urban planning and design. The forum features presentations on projects implemented in Bogotá, Colombia, as well as on future city initiatives in Asia. During the discussions, Azerbaijan’s post-conflict economic recovery and its modern infrastructure in the field of architecture drew particular attention, Silali Joseph, Senior youth advisor at March for Our Planet from Kenya, told AZERTAC on the sidelines of WUF13.
He emphasized that the development model is regarded as a future example for post-conflict societies, particularly in Africa. Azerbaijan’s experience in urban planning and development is considered important for the continent, with its development path viewed as a model for future cities.
