Yalchin Rafiyev: Azerbaijan's example in reconstruction process is an excellent example for countries suffering from similar problems

“You need to have a favorable environment to start the reconstruction and recovery process. The challenge we faced was also the mines that needed to be cleared before starting the reconstruction and recovery,” said Azerbaijan`s Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev at the event entitled "Housing at the Center of Crisis Recovery and Reconstruction " held within the framework of the 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13).

He noted that political conditions could be created, such as a peace agreement or a ceasefire. However, due to the presence of mines in the area, it is impossible to start recovery work and enter it. By allocating about 25 percent of the state budget annually since the end of the conflict, we have set an example. It is a great example for all countries suffering from similar problems.
