U.S. President Donald Trump made a statement on his social media account regarding the latest status of a possible agreement with Iran. Trump noted that the agreement with Iran is very close, stating, “A largely negotiated agreement is being finalized between the U.S., Iran, and other countries on the list. The final elements and details of the agreement are currently being discussed and will be announced shortly. In addition to other elements of the agreement, the Strait of Hormuz will also be opened.”
TRUMP SPOKE WITH PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN AND OTHER LEADERS
Trump also reported that he consulted with regional leaders about the latest status of the agreement with Iran during phone calls made in the Oval Office. In this context, Trump stated that he held talks with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Jordanian King Abdullah II, Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff Marshal Asim Munir.
