28 people died in a landslide at an illegal gold mine in northern Angola.
A collapse occurred in an abandoned mine in the town of Nambuangongo, located in the Bengo province in northern Angola. It was reported that 28 people, 13 of whom were from the same family, lost their lives in the landslide at the illegal gold mine. It was stated that 3 people who were rescued from the mine in an injured state are receiving treatment at the hospital, and search and rescue operations are ongoing for 2 people identified to be in the mine.
