A 6.9 magnitude earthquake occurred in northern Chile.
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) announced that a 6.9 magnitude tremor was recorded 31 kilometers east of the city of Calama in northern Chile. It was reported that there were no casualties or damage in the earthquake, which occurred at a depth of 101 kilometers.
