According to a statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry, Minister Sergey Lavrov held a phone conversation with his US counterpart Marco Rubio. Following the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Lavrov informed the American side that "the Russian army will launch systematic attacks on military elements in Kiev in response to the Kiev administration's terrorist attacks on civilians and elements on Russian territory."
During the conversation, it was advised that the US, along with other countries, evacuate its diplomatic mission personnel and other citizens from Kiev.
It was noted that the two ministers also discussed the issues of the Strait of Hormuz and Cuba during the meeting.
