CENTCOM: US forces conducted 'self-defense' strikes in southern Iran
US Central Command (CENTCOM) Spokesperson Tim Hawkins said, “US forces conducted 'self-defense' strikes in southern Iran.”

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that US forces have conducted new strikes targeting certain locations in southern Iran. CENTCOM Spokesperson Tim Hawkins claimed that the operations were carried out within the scope of 'self-defense', stating that the targets included missile launch sites and Iranian ships allegedly preparing to lay mines.

Hawkins argued that the strikes aimed to 'protect US soldiers from threats posed by Iranian forces', and noted that the US continues to act with restraint during the ongoing ceasefire process in the region and will continue to protect its military elements.
