Cuban Foreign Minister Parrilla: Those Who Order Military Attack on Cuba Will Go Down in History as War Criminals
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla stated, “The President, Secretary of State, and Secretary of War who order a military attack on Cuba will go down in history as war criminals who directly commit crimes against humanity.”
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla spoke at the United Nations (UN) Security Council under the theme 'Defending the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter and strengthening the UN-centered international system.' Parrilla stated that the United States violated international law regarding Cuba and described the accusations directed by the US against former Cuban President Raul Castro as 'arbitrary' and 'an inconceivable act.'
Addressing the issue of a possible US military intervention in Cuba, Parilla said, “The President, Secretary of State, and Secretary of War who give the order for this military attack will go down in history as war criminals who directly commit crimes against humanity. Cuba poses no threat to the US and does not wish to be an enemy. There is no justification for such inhumane coercive actions or aggression due to their humanitarian impact. Let Cuba live in peace,” he stated.
Parrilla called on all international communities, including South American countries and the UN Security Council, to support efforts to prevent a humanitarian disaster directed at Cuba.
