Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky issued a congratulatory message in Turkish, Ukrainian, and English for Eid al-Adha. In his message, Zelensky said, “I wish this blessed holiday brings peace, prosperity, and lasting peace to every home.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky extended his Eid al-Adha greetings to Muslims through a written statement in three languages on his social media account. Zelensky, who expressed his heartfelt congratulations to Muslims in Ukraine and around the world, included the following statements in his message:

“I sincerely congratulate Muslims in Ukraine and around the world on Eid al-Adha. I wish this blessed holiday brings peace, prosperity, and lasting peace to every home. As Ukraine, we are making great efforts to ensure that as many families as possible can celebrate Eid al-Adha safely this year. While protecting life here in Ukraine and Europe, we also support the preservation of life in friendly and partner countries in the Middle East, the Gulf region, and the South Caucasus. Fear and insecurity should not dominate people's lives anywhere in the world. We do not forget Crimea, where the war started by Russia against Ukraine in 2014 began. We wholeheartedly thank everyone who supports our country and people, stands against the Russian occupation, and contributes to the liberation of our people from Russian captivity. We have not forgotten the Crimean political prisoners detained by Russia; we continue to work to reunite them with their homes in Ukraine. It is of great importance that the free world does not forget the people deprived of their freedom today. I wish this holiday brings hope and strength to all good hearts. May your Eid al-Adha be blessed and holy!”
