Zelensky: Russia is not sincere in its interest in diplomacy as long as it relies on missiles
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that he sent a letter to the US side to seek support in preventing Russian missile attacks, saying, "Russia is not sincere in its interest in diplomacy as long as it relies on missiles."
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a statement regarding the Russia-Ukraine War in a video message shared on his social media account. Zelensky noted that he met with officials from the Ukrainian army and security forces, and said they discussed the continuation of long-range attacks on targets in Russia. Zelensky stated, "Our long-range attacks are necessary for Russia to feel that it will have to pay the price with war losses."
'THE CURRENT SITUATION REQUIRES US TO ACT'
Zelensky stated that he prepared a letter on behalf of US President Donald Trump and Congress to seek support in preventing Russia's missile attacks, saying, "This letter was delivered to the relevant institutions in Washington yesterday. It is rare for the leader of another state to address the US President and Congress in this way, simultaneously through a letter. However, the current situation requires us to act. It is important for America to hear Ukraine," he commented.
Zelensky emphasized that the US is currently dealing with the Iran issue, saying, "We must also stop a very bloody war that is continuing in full scale in Europe. The more protection we provide against ballistic missiles, the quicker we can make diplomacy beneficial. Russia is not sincere in its interest in diplomacy as long as it relies on missiles," he said.
