US Denies Iran's 'Drone Shot Down' Claim
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) denied claims that a US drone was shot down by Iranian air defense systems.

 

In a report based on a military source in the Iranian press, it was stated that Iran's air defense systems were activated last night and shot down an aircraft claimed to belong to the US near the city of Bushehr with missiles. Reports in Iranian media claimed that the target in question was a US drone.

Following these reports, a statement came from the US Central Command (CENTCOM). In a statement made on CENTCOM's social media account, the reports of the shooting in the Iranian media were categorically denied. The statement included the expressions, “No US aircraft has been shot down. All US air assets are accounted for in full.”
