Iranian Parliament Speaker Qalibaf: We will not approve any agreement until we secure our people's rights
Iranian Parliament and Negotiation Committee Chairman Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf stated that they do not trust the enemy's words and promises in the diplomatic arena, saying, “We will not approve any agreement until we are sure we have secured the rights of the Iranian people.”
Iranian Parliament and Negotiation Committee Chairman Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf made statements regarding the negotiations with the US and a possible agreement during a parliamentary session he attended. Qalibaf stated that his country is repelling the enemy in a historic and great war, emphasizing that the most important factor in this struggle is political and social unity.
Qalibaf noted that in the new phase of the war, the enemy resorted to economic pressure and media manipulation to compensate for its military defeat and force Iran to surrender, describing the process as a 'decisive war'. Qalibaf stated that the military field, the streets, diplomacy, and public service areas are the four inseparable fronts of this total struggle.
Qalibaf said that the successes achieved on the military field were won directly with the support of the people, highlighting that the main task of diplomacy is to turn these victories achieved on the ground into political and legal gains at the table. Giving messages about the negotiation processes and possible agreement conditions, Qalibaf stated, “Our representatives on the diplomatic front do not trust the enemy's words and promises in any way. For us, the only criterion is the tangible gains we must achieve before fulfilling our own commitments. We will not approve any agreement until we are fully sure that we have secured the rights of the Iranian people at the table.”
