US strikes Iran: Targets hit in Goruk and Qeshm Island
The US Central Command announced that it conducted attacks on radar and UAV command control centers in Iran's Goruk region and Qeshm Island in retaliation for the downing of a US drone.

In a statement from the US Central Command (CENTCOM), it was claimed that the attacks carried out over the weekend on radar and UAV command control centers in Iran's Goruk region and Qeshm Island were in response to Iran's actions, including the downing of a US MQ-1 type UAV in international waters. The statement noted that US warplanes took action to destroy Iranian air defense systems, a ground control station, and two one-way attack UAVs, which posed an open threat to ships passing through the waters in the region.

The statement noted that no US soldiers were harmed in the operations, adding, “CENTCOM will continue to protect US assets and interests in response to Iran's unjust aggression during the ongoing ceasefire process.”
