The statement noted that blockade measures were applied to the Botswana-flagged 'M/T Lexie' oil tanker, which was heading towards Kharg Island in the Persian Gulf in international waters. It was stated that the crew on the tanker did not comply with the instructions of the US forces and ignored the warnings, and the tanker was neutralized by a missile fired at the engine room, preventing it from reaching Iran.
